Hey everybody! Thank you for all of the thoughtful Q’s. We’ll get to answering some of those next week.
So, while we wait for Susie and I to get our thinking caps on, I’m posting a demo Spencer and I made some years back for a song called “Whisper” behind the paywall. It was released in a slightly different form for a charity compilation a while ago, but this is how it sounded the day we got it together.
The lyrics always bothered me in a way I can’t quite make sense of. I believe they’re sincere. But there’s a naive assuredness to the verses I could never get the chorus to fully atone for, at least in my estimation. However, as time has marched on, this song has stuck with me more than most, and I play it quite a bit at home and backstage. It’s easy to remember and fun to sing. I hope you enjoy it.
