It really was a lovely service. Great job by all the speakers. No doubt there is fudge in heaven and if that’s true, then there’s also a good Moishe joke being told there right now. #RIPPedrobot

P.S. Kudos to our Captain, staying au courant with the Kim Deal cover. Couldn’t think of a more appropriate song to send Peter out with.

What a lovely tribute to sweet Pedro. I rewatched a few TS episodes today and two of them had Pedro appearances. I had tears in my eyes watching him weep while retelling the stories of his childhood and tears again from his joke (and his and Susie’s laughter) about the “left tit soup”. A perfect example of “everything is serious and everything is funny”. The love he exuded for his family was so profound and touching and my heart is with you all as you grieve and celebrate his big life. ❤️

I for one am a better human because I got to hear some great stories, jokes and laughter from a man I have never meet, over a cell phone with a bunch of strangers going through a difficult period of time for the world. Those many evenings spent in his audio company helped me feel connected and I will take that with me for the rest of my days.

As a person with no living parents or grandparents, his demeanor helped fill a void I did not even realize I had. Thank you for sharing him with us.

I’ve had Millers and Tweedys on my mind this week as you’ve said goodbye to Pedro. Thank you for sharing him with us. I hope the Tweedy Show audience gave him as much joy as he gave us. Fudge for all of you tonight. Very seriously.

Thanks for sharing your Pedro stories and tributes. I can tell that he was a great man and will be greatly missed. I only “met” him through his appearances on the Tweedy Show, but loved your stories about him. I loved his unabashed “weeping” and gratitude for his family. A lovely tribute!

So many beautiful appreciations I just read… and I just thank you, Tweedy’s, for the absolute treasure you gifted us with during the pandemic etc, especially the precious moments with Peter and then Pedrobot too; so many times I laughed with tears and then wept and laughed thanks to you sharing his presence! Much love, support and care to you and many thanks, more than words can tell! 💜

These were both so beautiful and so fitting, love and respect for the entire Tweedy family. You are all such wonderful humans.❤️

So sweet.

Thanks for including Danny's eulogy. I was hoping it would be available after the service to read. Whoever thought to stream the service is a genius.

Hearing Danny say the words especially praising Susie for the care she gave Peter toward the end of his life was wonderful. "I don't know how my dad could have survived a day without her". I hope she realizes what a gift it was to be that special and important.

Love hearing the "Accomplishments" celebration story, that was so funny and also serious -- he cared for the people in his life so much. And his description of Peter as the "Tin Man" from Oz.

Thank you Jeff for singing Robin or a Wren. So perfect. Thinking of you all and wishing for happier days ahead. 💞

I watched the livestream of Peter’s service and tears were plopping out of my eyes to see both the grief and the love in the room. I also appreciated the robust baritone laugh someone had in the room whenever a funny anecdote was told.

The loss for all his family and friends is profound, but he sure left you with an absolute wealth of love and wonderful memories. He will warm hearts for many, many years.

So sorry for this immense loss. How lucky we all were during the heyday of the Tweedy Show to have had a few glimpses of Peter/Zayde/Pedro/Pedrobot and the love-filled relationship you all had with him. I'll be reading your words out loud to my family, as "Do you like fudge, Jeff" has long been part of my family's lexicon.

I'm sorry for Susie's loss, your whole family's loss. Sounds like Peter lived a hell of a life--a mensch. Love your family version of "Robin or a Wren"--I'm sure George is happy that you and your boys played this song to honor Peter.

Bless you and yours Jeff Tweedy. Pedrobot was the sort of person that if you met, you were a friend. My favorite sort of person, and his sunshine rubbed off on everyone in his path. I'm so grateful I got to "meet" him via the Tweedy Show.

These songs were lovely.

This is all so moving and sweet. I sure don't miss Covid days, but those evenings gathered with my family watching/listening to the Tweedy Show were very comforting. Essential medicine most every evening. And Peter was a delightful part of that. I'm grateful to know him so much better now through yours and Danny's words. Peter's expression of immense and proud love for his kids is such a lovely testament. Love you Tweedy fellas on the song! And the Deal cover is marvelous. Condolences to you Susie and to all of you and love from Dallas.

It's a good thing your father-in-law didn't ask: "Do you like corned beef on white bread with mayonnaise, Jeff?" But fudge made it easy on you. Everybody likes fudge. May his memory be a blessing.

My condolences to your family. I had an uncle who would also say "Never Better" when asked how he was, even when he was anything but better. Must be an Illinois thing.

My grandfather (also from Chicago, same era as Pedro) used to say the same thing. It was so endearing.
