Chit-Chat Check-In #70: Juggernaut of the Jov’
Thoughts on disappointment and repulsion
A quick hello as I head to the dentist. I’m still working on your really lovely questions, expect some answers soon. And a song as well.
I wanted to talk a little bit about the press I’m seeing—clickbait headlines, really—about things I’ve said about Bob Dylan and Jon Bon Jovi. Listen above to hear more, but in short, Bob Dylan could never disappoint me. And as for Jon Bon Jovi, let’s just say that when I decided to pick on someone in my book (to undercut my breathless praise for 49 other songwriters), I wanted to choose someone big enough to take it in stride. It doesn’t get much bigger than the juggernaut of the Jov’.
Carry on, OxO—Jeffy

BTW -- L’shana tova everyone!
Bon Jovi is just fine in certain circumstances. Like a wedding reception, for instance. It's fun when the band or DJ plays Livin' on a Prayer. Everybody sings along. Do I seek that song out on Spotify when I'm driving? I do not. But maybe now I will, especially when I've completed 50% of my journey.
Speaking of Journey. They're fine, too. :D
I'm glad we have this safe space to talk about these things.
