We used to go to Florida with the kids quite a bit. We still as a family refer to The Great Crab Abomination, where my then-7-yr-old son decided to stuff a large dead crab he found on the beach into the far reaches of his backpack and then completely forgot about it. The smell after several days was so rotten it had almost ascended to a kind of putrified, pickled sort of acidity, with a briny wash of a thousand tainted clams. When the source of the smell was finally discovered, there was much exclaiming and a decisive and swift move to the nearest dumpster.
Moral: Enjoy your beach walks. Don’t put deceased sea creatures in your bag.
See you next week in Asheville. I might be the guy in the 8th row who’s not up on their feet during the encore. Not because I don’t love you. I got a wonky thing going on with my back.
Thank you for the show in Orlando last night. You all have this magical way of discovering the songs every night as if they were new and it’s just so emotionally honest and powerful. Cried multiple times.
I’ve been to St. Augustine! It’s beautiful. Both of my kids lived in Florida for a short time so I’ve been to a few places. Like everywhere in this cruel country it’s both wonderful and terrifying at the same time. I’ve been wondering how Wilco will deal with the South at this moment in history. The guys in The Drive By Truckers dressed in drag. It’s enough to sing “Love is Everywhere.” Just spread the love, guys!!!
That amphitheater in St. Augustine is great. I was at the last Wilco show there about 10 years ago and met some lovely new friends. I also understand that some guys in the band got up to some memorable hijinks last time. Florida can do that to you. I’m sure you’re all better behaved now.
Great show last night! We do love you down here. Was the last St Aug Amp show in 2012? I remember the show itself quite well. Anywho, let's do it again sometime! Sooner than a decade if possible. :)
Talked a Wilco-unfamiliar friend of mine into attending your Orlando show last night--safe to say he has been converted. See you next week in Greensboro!
Used to be one of our favorite places to vacation. We've been there twice to the beaches of St. Augustine, Florida. Still love that little, oldest city in North America. I can still feel the presence of pirates in that town. I say used to due to high profile residents of that state. Plus a governor who keeps messing with the mouse. It occurs to me that I should not let Knuckleheads keep our family from doing the things we love to do.

I grew up on the beach, and I will never tire of the squeak my feet make in the soft sand. Thanks Captain for a rememory.

Love The A’s, too!

So did Yo La Tengo in Tennessee. It’s a nice unsubtle way to say fuck you.
Hi from Row D. I wish these old folks would stand up and dance! Great show so far

Thanks for a great show in St. Aug last night (and for waving “hello” during I Am Trying To Break Your Heart).

See you in Greensborough!

You know you wish some bro would walk by and say "Hey, Kelso!" Enjoy the walk, Captain.
See ya tomorrow! :)
Fantastic show in Orlando. Hope you make it down this way more.
See you tomorrow here in Clearwater! I’ll meet you at the beach.
