Hey everybody, I’ll be sharing an unreleased take of an old song and a mini GEAR TALKIN’™️ tomorrow. In the meantime, here’s a new sub-section for the ol’ stack-o-Sub. Each week we’ll take a look back at Wilco (and Wilco-adjacent) history. And together we can reminisce, discuss, feel old, etc.
I love how that photo of Lounge Ax looks soooo old to me and then I realize that's the time I was in college and around the time I first saw Wilco. So basically I am the one who is old. :) Thanks for all the memories, Jeff!
My husband and I were married at our home (near N. Adams Mass.!)in September of 2000. Remember the Mountain Bed was our wedding song. Ended up purchasing land with a small mountain across from our home. 🏔❤️
Aw, you can blame it on your age. I was in St Louis in 1988 and Chicago from 1991-1997…so there were some serious missed opportunities. I had to move to CA to finally collide with Tweedy in 2016 and the rest is history.
I definitely learned a few of your songs from early bootlegs of these shows when the internet was still young and wild. Like us I guess. Sigh. Anyway, love these trips down Memory Ln. Thanks Jeff!
♥️Lounge Ax♥️
Jeff, I truly appreciate the half/half approach...I don’t feel so left out.
Thank you,
S
I like this new feature!

I miss Lounge Ax. It was the best music venue.
i couldn’t put on “remember the mountain bed” fast enough. such a dreamy cover. makes me feel all the feels. and that guitar. swoon.
Am I remembering correctly that Jeff used to be the reluctant roadie at Lounge Ax for all the out of town bands?
I really feel like I missed so much being a late bloomer to the Wilco party. But I love hearing all the stories. 💜
I’m with you, Amy. I started listening to them in 2012 & saw my first show in Akron, OH in 2014…
In January 1995, I was in high school and too dumb to know any better!!!
