My wife just smiled at me in the most beautiful way when I played this video. Thank you!

I know odds are low, but if you and Gary ever want to do a tour together where you just sing songs you like, you can count on an eager, awaiting audience

Yes and if you happened to want to bring that tour to Australia too ….😁

Those two nights in the church of First Avenue were just magical. My husband was supposed to attend both shows with me. He crushed 11 bones in his face about 16 hrs before showtime in a fall. He watched from home night one and rallied and attended night two. He forgot about the pain and was filled with joy seeing you all together again. I want to thank you all for doing these 2 shows as they were very healing. All of my favorite humans were in that room, on both nights. My heart is still full.

I absolutely love this song on so many fronts. And this was a beautiful moment in the show. Btw, I just noticed the lurking 📱 behind the amp in the background (at least it wasn’t Llamo the dancing puppet) 🤭💜

I forgot how much I loved Radio King. Thanks for the reminder.

You're welcome. FYI, that show is actually missing from the setlist.fm Golden Smog chronology. It shows them playing the night before at Tramps in NYC (incidentally, where I saw my first Wilco show in June 1995 while home from college for the summer) and the next night at the Paradise in Boston, but for April 14, it just shows a radio gig ("I'll take you, Radio Gig?") for WNEW in NYC. I'm guessing the Maxwell's set list is lost to history.

I would have loved to have seen that Paradise show-- I was a junior in college at the time in Worcester, Mass.-- but I had no car and no one that I knew who had a car on campus was interested in either: 1) lending it to me; or 2) going to see a band they'd never heard of (despite my endless Wilco proselytizing since the spring of the previous year-- it wasn't until "Being There" came out that the scales fell from their eyes).

I enjoyed watching both of those shows via the livestream so, so much. Living in Australia (esp in Perth) we miss out on most of the cool things that happen, but I was so grateful to be able to see these shows, even if it was only from afar - It was still magical. ❤️

The harmony vocals between Jeff and Gary were the highlight of these shows for me, as was this song, and “Strangers”. 🎶💙🎶
