This is a statue I came across walking around Kansas City, Missouri yesterday. It's called "Pioneer Mother" or "Abducted Uterus" or "The First Amber Alert". I can't remember. Whatever it was, it was bleak. "Whither thou" indeed! Anyway, it's really hot out here, so here's a song about being cold.
As a general guiding light, keeping quiet on the social medias has worked well for me. But there are times when the right thing in the world hits a guy in exactly the right way that it’s important to say thank you. So thank you, Jeff, for putting things in the world that make me smile with teary eyes.
I can hear it on one of the first four Rod Stewart albums (of course with the great Ron Wood). People need to listen to those albums to know how wonderfully folky and observational Rod was like Jeff!
multiple cans of PBR and joints consumed there when I was little. And it’s always been a creepy place for a ‘make out point’ but it is. Also part of my old guy walking route, but I keep an eye out. Happiest of birthdays to your excellent wife. She’s a national treasure. Every time I see Davidoff Cool Water soap I cringe and punch my 22 year old face lol. Also I’m braving the rain tonight so I can see your cool guitars and listen to what you’re doing now. Sending love! 🥰
Aww, I love this song so much. You are a national treasure, Jeffy, thanks for all you do. Happy (belated) Birthday to the woman who somehow keeps the wheels on this thing, love you Susie! 💗🥳
I never imagined when signing up for this that I would be blessed with daily posts. What a gift.
How absolutely wonderful. I hope Jeff is making a nice stroganoff for Susie tonight. Not at all because that is what I am making. Just a coincidence.
It's hard to read your reference to Kansas City without thinking of that exchange on the live album when you tell the guy from KC to be quiet.
This is so much fun. I look forward to your daily offerings! Love the song.
