Makes 💯 sense to me. My daughter once asked me. “Mom, why do you laugh at your own jokes?” I replied that it would actually be more weird if I *didn’t*.
Thank you for answering the questions. My favorite was the one about the number of "nothings." On the topic of live performance, I've often wondered if anyone ever screamed "Kansas City!" after the live album came out. That would have been a cheeky move.
I have always wondered how Jeff signals to the rest of the band the last "nothing" and I'm glad I sort of got an answer... though yeah, it does sound prone to error. I guess you get really good at it when you've played these songs hundreds of times.
Well I for one am looking forward to the Starship dropping in on Oz next March and in particular (after reading this story) VERY happy that Brisbane is show 1 and show 2 in the tour so I presume the jacket will be freshly laundered and it’s Sydney that will need to be prepared for any potential musty smells. Luckily the Opera House is big too! Wish I could be there..... but Princess Theatre in Bris is an adorable venue......pretty as well as acoustically excellent!! And I’m connected to its stage from past events showcasing my own creativity in refashion and wearable art so to now see the best band in the world there on that same stage ( twice!) has sort of made my plans for 2024 kick off very happily indeed! As for cremation options ...... I’m just hoping I won’t need any between now and then 😂
A drummer friend of mine went through Europe a few times in a Sprinter, and came to refer to the scent emanating from the guitarist’s Vans shoes as reminiscent of “pickle barrels.”
Dear Captain-
I hope the schedule will allow you to get after that hip soon. Cause, you know, we care about you.
Thanks Jeff. No need to apologize for any perceived TMI. We're here for you.
Given the predominant demographic on the Starship, most of us feel your pain.
The toes on my right foot have entered the chat...
I know several people who’ve had hips replaced. They’ve all had positive, life-changing outcomes. You, too, will step away from the pain.
How true! Had my first one last July... A game changer for sure! Good luck, Jeff!
Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions.
I love that the first four songs recommended by Wilco on Wilco Recommends are Wilco songs.

Cremation options? Hot, hotter, hottest? I’m perplexed.
I think there's a typo. Should be: "Live, love, and play!"
No, he meant to write "Let's eat Grandma."
or "Eats Shoots and Leaves"
Lol live love pray 🫶🏽🎸✨

Pack Febreeze?
Thanks, Jeff!
Can I just say I’m so excited for Cousins
Worried about which question made you worry about which one of us 😉
Great questions. And good responses. Put your feet up Jeff!
