Well said, Captain! I’ve been stressing a lot over this election and the general direction of this country, but it truly is heartening that there still seems to be a large segment of the population that still believes in democracy and rejects the authoritarian impulse. You’re right that it’s not perfect, but I’m still hopeful. And hopefully generations to come will continue to stand for democracy and things like inclusion, diversity, and true equality. Thanks for your words and thanks for taking back that apology!
