I get like a seedy 70s “stranded on a desert island” C movie vibe from this. But it’s not uncomfortable. Maybe that’s just because we can’t see Pat taking off his pants 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Specifically a modified-fire department captain's hat. I wore one for 10 years before I made Battalion Chief and got 3 crossed gold bugles! Still have mine in my basement wall archives (retired in '03). Thanks for the idea for embellishment!
Captain allow me say seeing this hat on you made my day.
A Backstory: It was gifted on behalf of the entire Starship Casual community as it’s my conviction all captains should have a proper chapeaux. It also happens to be a legit vintage Chicago FD Captains hat as denoted by the two standing bugles and was separately adorned with the “casual musician vibe” of a dueling guitar pin. It all came together quite synchronistically.
P.S. tried my best to get Sunloathe out of it…someday…Both New Orleans shows were stupendous and very different.
I love love love Ode To Joy. Those first couple tracks are surprising in their sparseness. Then they lift and kind of soar. It’s all so good and speaks to the times. Love is Everywhere, Hold Me Anyway, Quiet Amp, Everyone Hides! Question for the Captain, sir. What is the image on the album cover?! I thought it might be a cropped Pat photo. Have fun in the great city of New Orleans!
On the hat, I actually prefer the reassuring smirk….A little Sargent Pepperish….perhaps more yellow submarine as opposed to the man who sold the world…
I need to take off my pants 😂 😂
And…that pretty much shut things down lol!
Where's Tenille?
Funny! (makes me laugh just thinking of Muskrat Love!)

Backstage banter! Bustling band members! Ineffectual hats! And Pat’s pants! Phew. Thanks for the report.
Ode to Joy is THE perfect soundtrack for fall.

“Work like a Captain, party like a Pirate” I think they say…

Pants is spelled from the letters that make up Pat Sansone. Coincidence?
Pants as one, if you wanted to use up the extra letters?
Please please please! When will CC be out on vinyl? Please! Thank you!

Captain, May I come aboard?
Also, a much more serious question…Mr. Jeff Tweedy, have you ever played “air guitar”? I plan to ask every rock star I admire. Cheers, S
