Chit-Chat Check-In #96 • Transcript
Hello, this is your Captain speaking. Thank you all so much for your birthday wishes and your song suggestions. As I process all of the different tunes and try to pick one to learn and post here for your enjoyment, a comment from passenger Josh Norton reminded me of the Beck/Wilco collaboration and cover of Skip Spence’s album Oar.
This recording, by me, Spencer, and Sammy, was part of a practice we used to do years ago. We would learn a cover, record it at The Loft, and see how close we could get to the original.
Aquarium Drunkard put some of these songs up a few years ago if you’d like to hear others. I’ll get to work looking at the rest of the suggested tunes.
