Year one Founding Members, you’re the realest and we’ve had fun testing the waters with you. Sincerely, we appreciate you. You wouldn’t believe the cost of dry-cleaning spacesuits.

What’s next?
Per requests, we’re re-opening the proverbial hotlines for year two, and that means there's an opportunity for more of you to join—to do so, go here and select the Captain’s Club option. The team and I have several ideas in mind for the next batch of physical mailings, but we’re always open to your ideas, which we encourage you to leave below in the comments. (Last year's membership included an autographed copy of Jeff’s new Lyric Book, an exclusive Starship Casual metallic coffee mug, and a patch.)

Change.
The moniker “Founding Member” must be reserved, at least in our hearts, for those who chose to board the journey during year one. Starting in year two, you'll all be lovingly referred to as members of the Captain’s Club. 

Growth.
We learned some things last year. Substack is a great home for Starship Casual. But Substack’s focus is digital sharing. We like to step out of the box, and that includes some growing pains. AKA: We’re making these mailings up as we go. After the sign-up window for year two closes on October 7, 2022, you will receive an email with instructions for submitting your address, among other things. It’s of utmost importance that you look out for this correspondence and follow our directions when the time comes. All members—old and new—will need to submit a mailing address to receive 2023 prizes.

Expectations.
To start, all members of the Captain’s Club will receive a +1 aboard the ship. In our initial letter after the registration window is closed, you will be given the opportunity to gift a one-year paid membership to this Substack. The more the merrier! Following, you will receive a Captain’s Club membership card, you know, to make things official (it may also give you merch discounts in the future). We’re testing prototypes for a new hat (seen modeled by Jeff above), and we have plans to make SC’s first CD. The Captain’s Club will vote on the track listing for said CD. We’ll ship it out to you for free!

If you’ve already renewed your membership for the year:
THANK YOU AGAIN! You will automatically become a member of the Captain’s Club, and the perks will continue.
