Hello from the Florida Panhandle, where I’m about to play the Songwriters Festival on Saturday.
Later this winter, I’m going to make a record with Spencer and Sammy and the Tweedy band. A solo record. I’ve been working on material for that and I thought I’d share a work-in-progress here, which I haven’t done in a while.
This song is in the running for the album. It might make it, might not; might make it and sound completely different. Or it might sound exactly like what I’m about to share. Who knows?! Regardless, I thought you’d be interested in hearing how things come together every once in a while.
I surprised myself with this one. Which is what I’m trying to do, basically, any time I write a song.
Carry on. OxO—Jeffy
