Wish I could ask this anonymously, but what the heck, I was just interviewed for another popular Substack, and we were talking about self-promotion as a requirement. So Jeff, our jefe, have you selected couplets to include in the 17-hour version of "Feel Free"?
Shock horror!! Don’t even think about ever uttering those words about potentially not ‘Carrying On’ with the Starship as is ever again! Whether from The Bridge or on The Bus…..never again dear C’ptn ……please please🙏…hush that train of thought….where else could we get such a great sonic ride each week….including moon shaped guitar fun facts ??🌛🎵🌟
Not to mention Prince’s symbol guitar. I guess only he could play it. And how he played it. Yes, dancing and jumping in heels while doing it. One of a kind.
I love these fascinating histories! I especially like how you always throw in an odd charming detail, like some Kawai Moonsault models shipped in 'regular-looking rectangular guitar cases,' had 'really nice foam cut to fit the moonscape body perfectly.' I wonder if anyone kept the foam cut-out and hung it on their wall… And your fun descriptions: 'cool-looking but a-drag-to-hold'! Keep sending these Gear Talkins!
Great surprise on the QR code….. question Jeff, any chance we might see twilight override release on Cassette, I know the market is small but those of us who love them, really love them…. FYC
Also, I wish Captain would do a mini doc similar to the one about Mark Knoplers six most important guitars. I believe it was supposed to be a series, but I think they only made one episode, it a very fun watch for those curious:
The other night in Portland Maine I was dumbfounded by the magnitude of its ferociousness. That thing is a dangerous piece of musical machinery and needs to be treated with kid gloves.
I was equally as mesmerized by Jeff’s decision to go to a Strat on the next number after wielding such a momentous axe, the strat sounded like a ukulele to me, so it made me wonder if the Captain thinks the gear trajectory of his orchestrations through the course of an evening?
Honestly I would’ve loved to have heard another earth shattering song using that monumental crescent the other night, but I will survive.
Thank you very much for coming to Portland Captain I was gonna do a shout out at the show but it just didn’t feel appropriate so I’ll do it here.

It's a cool-looking guitar. I wonder if there's anything interesting about its sound.
OMG, it’s BEAST of a sound!!!
There must be some interesting stories behind the acquisition of these

Welcome back, Mark. We've missed you.
Lap-centric, schmap-centric! These are all whoa, whoa, whoa!! ;) Too much fun, Mark! 👏
Bravo again ! Oh how so many of us had a brief stint with the Steinberger Spirit XT-25?!?!?😔
Sooo pretty!
... but are you familiar with the Split-Legged Moonsault, the Best Moonsault Ever, and the Prettiest Moonsault Ever???
Who does your favorite moonsault, Jeff?
Also: I bet Loud Reed was the kind of babysitter who let you stay up late and eat ice cream.
