BTW- I did hang out with the real JEFFY (Keane) last week. I didn't have the guts to show him this cartoon. We had a discussion where he was kidding me about suing me for something else. Probably wasn't good time to show him this and have the joking end.
I believe the question that everyone was asking, that wasn't answered, IS... when in the next TWEEDY SHOW?!! (hopefully the "?!!" came off the way I wanted. You never know.)

Archie sounds like the coolest to me! I also have a son in 8th grade who doesn’t have quite the same interests as his peers. He listens to music from the 40s and 50s which I think is awesome! He’s got posters of Elvis up! So Archie should just continue being himself even if his interests do not align with everyone else his age. His individuality is what makes him special.
Btw, I’m also of the mind that I never want my son to leave me but I know it’s not a reasonable thing to want! I just love him so much I can’t imagine him elsewhere quite yet!
As for cakes, have you seen the current trend of naked cakes? Cakes with no frosting! It’s a current trend for wedding cakes which I find to be an atrocity because of course the icing is the best part!

The burger back-and-forth made my day. I agree with ST that cake technology hasn’t made huge leaps over the last few years. I think the reason everything can be a cake in 2022 is that the preceding 2 years taught us that cake is however we make it, and that we should enjoy all the cake, in whatever form, whenever we can get it.
