This Week In Wilco, Etc. 1995 / June 9: Wilco makes their television debut, playing “Box Full of Letters” on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. 2021 / June 10: Jeff debuts a new song, “Pittsburgh", on The Tweedy Show #183 2004 / June 11: Wilco plays a 17-song set at Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN.
Jeff, can you have Mark do a write up about that guitar with the leatherette cover that you played at Solid Sound? I want to know the story. I don't think you ever played it during the Tweedy show. Thanks, and safe travels. Lot of our rockin' people are in Europe now.
This week in Wilco, etc.: 1995 / June 9: I saw my first Wilco show! At Tramps in New York City, apparently just a few hours after they had taped "Conan."
This might be the longest of long shots but are either Ed or Mookie here? This is over 20 years ago but I was lurking on a message board in the early 2000s and remember they were having a conversation about Uncle Tupelo and whether they were an Illinois band or a Missouri band. It got kinda heated and I'm hoping it got resolved.
Geez, I can’t wait to hear that “crappy demo of a song nobody wants to hear”—did I get that right? Lol! And who’s the other member of the band you can busk with? All we heard about was PK and Mark. You got somebody else stashed in that car?
I'm gonna work on being okay with not knowing what is up with that doll. This will be good for me. 😅 Safe travels and here's hoping all joy breaks loose!
Inquiring minds want to know if you were inspired by the wild puppet guy at SSF with Llamo the dancing llama and Warren the monkey. Apparently we know his puppets’ names but not his. 😂😂😂
