Watch now (2 min) | It’s been a while since I’ve answered your questions and given advice, and/or asked Susie how wrong my advice and responses are. So let's get started again, and this time, I'll answer soon ... and maybe not just in the comments, but in a more interactive way. Now's your chance, so go ahead and ask in the comments below. I'm here with Spencer, my hiking buddy, ready to advise ...
I know you must have loaded this up before knowing about today’s tragedy. It feel surreal to be packing for another magical Solid Sound weekend at the same time we’re so heartbroken. No questions for you right now, but just a sincere thank you for being a place of refuge and solace.
Echoing many other fellow commentators’ sentiments on this sad day. I’m very grateful to have a forum like this where we can therapeutically share our love of music and our muses. But as Warriors coach Steve Kerr declared in his impassioned, no basketball talk, pre-game press conference tonight, “when will this end?” Why is the people’s will and our country forever held hostage to the gun lobby and their immoral, bought-and-paid for politicians? How can we make pretenses about being an example of democracy for the world when our children aren’t even safe in school? I am so heartbroken/tired/fed-up; I feel so powerless in the face of such overwhelming ignorance and evil. We cannot accept this; we cannot let this become the norm. I would normally apologize for introducing politics to this wonderful music space. But this is beyond politics. This is for the soul and survival of our country. As a father, my heart weeps for the families in Uvalde, Texas – they will live with this horrible loss and tragedy every day for the rest of their lives.
Hello Mr Tweedy, you may have answered this previously so please forgive me if so.
What is the significance (or insignificance?) of the presence of owl images/ objects I’ve seen over the years on Wilco stickers, on stage, weaved into guitar/camera straps, interpreted in to solid sound posters etc? I’m a proud and humble owner of several of these things, and I’m just curious is all.
Gearing up for this weekend! Only downer for me is my husband declared he’s not joining me this year to save money. We live nearby and have been to every SS. What’s the Tweedy family advice: just deal with going alone and enjoy it, or try to get him to realize he should come bc this is my complete joy so who cares about the money?
I made a podcast that was in the news a lot last year, which was pretty overwhelming for me, as an introverted person.
But one of the highlights was reading on Spencer’s blog that he listened to my podcast with his band on tour. I was pretty thrilled, as a long-time fan. Thanks Spencer.
What are you reading now or have read lately that you'd recommend? (Someone asked last time and your answer led me to an amazing book I wouldn't have known about -- thanks !)

Sending love to this whole beautiful community and to the Tweedy family who we all know will be hurting especially. Happy for all of you attending Solid Sound and hoping for lots of great experiences in spite of such a dark day today.
One of my all time favorite records is L.A.M.F. By Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers. Has Wilco ever covered any of those songs? “ Born To Lose” or “ It’s Not Enough “ would be great choices. You could pull off masterful performances acoustically as well.
I don’t know what to say or how I should feel anymore. What questions do I even have for others or my own self. Some one I trust very much asked me to perform a children's song on Saturday morning. Farmers market venue. I need ideas captain and crew. I’m also sending off someone I love dearly that morning with a plaque and dedication to the square I’ll be in. They are a vessel for change but are moving back to Ontario . This is not about me. It’s about the wonderful community I live in and the person I’m dedicating that town square to. Same Age as you captain. I think it would be nice for once if I wasn’t so damn shy in between songs and actually spoke for a few about todays events and played my own rendition of something. Any suggestions are welcomed❤️
I’ve been thinking about my question for a little while, waiting for this feature to come around again. It’s for both of you. I’m wondering if there is an item in your home (not music related) that isn’t at all to your taste, but is prominently displayed because the other loves it so much.

All I have today is thank you.
Thank you for being a light in the darkness.
Always listening.
Always grateful.
3 more sleeps
We’re all here together today, captain.

See you this weekend!
Craving some Tweedy Show comfort right about now.

Who is Chew or Chou in so many of your songs?

Nothing to say but thank you. You're music means a lot to me and helps me make sense of things and feel happy

Hi Jeffy, hi Spencer.
As said by many already, another f’in tragic day in big ol’ USofA.
In an effort to quash my cynicism and worry, I pose this question — to Spencer -
Do you have a thought, dream, or goal of where you see yourself professionally and personally in 5-10 years?
(Because I think you’re very special.)
❤️❤️❤️ Peace to this world.
