Thanks again for all the great requests! There are too many good ones to choose from, so I picked one of the first I came across. Thanks to Dave for requesting Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now” from her 1969 album Clouds. Listen to my take on the song behind the ol’ paywall.
Oh my. I had to drop everything and listen to this immediately. I absolutely love this song, although it makes me cry every time I hear it. I love your version. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
I was listening to the new Harry Styles today, and halfway through “Matilda” I thought “Jeff Tweedy would do a great job on this.” Which is true, I think, but as soon as I thought *that* I started to worry that every new song I hear now is going to go through Tweedyfication in my head.
So beautiful. Sincerely beautiful. I'm inspired to learn this one now. ❤️ Tho there are a couple of verses I'm not sure I could squeeze out past the lump in my throat.
Wow...such an honest, vulnerable rendition...thank you!
It’s one of my favorite songs and of course I couldn’t help I want to sing along with you, just now. (I would be able to offer a pretty nice harmonies...just sayin.) ☺️
I wish I could be as high a caliber musician as you are and just be able to get my guitar out and find the chords and sing that song!!
🥰🎸✨🙌🏻♥️
Touching, poignant lyrics...(thank you, Joni!) almost always almost makes me cry.
That was a nostalgia bomb. My folks didn't have many records (funny story another time) but my mom had a Judy Collins record with this one on it. Haven't heard it in quite a number of decades. Its awesome.
I have to admit, when I saw the suggestion of Both Sides Now, I was like, hmmm, cover Joni?—I mean that incredible voice? But you nailed it! Such an earthy organic Both Sides Now. Just beautiful. I’m feeling warm and fuzzy! Thanks!!!!
Thank you, Jeff. What a lovely performance of that song! And I could stare at that photo of the stars for a long, long time. Hope you have a great weekend!
I would absolutely love a print of Stars in the Yard. Beautiful image.

Lovely, as always.

Nailed it. Like it better than the original.
Perfect alignment for Election Day here in Australia...I’ve looked at elections from both sides now ...I really don’t trust pollies
At all

Thank you for covering one of my favorite Joni songs. Wow.
P.S. ONE of Kathy’s faves, of course. ☺️ And, ditto on that tree/stars pic! Would love a print of that!!
I really enjoy this! Thanks for picking that one out of the bag -- Joni is tough to pull off!

Wow. What a beautifully simple, powerful version. Goosebumps as memories flooded in, then a quick tear. Thank you.
“Something’s lost,
And something’s gained,
In living every day”
How did she have such insight at such an early age
Man, this is a very relevant song for all I’ve been going through this year. #NiagraFalls #ThankYou
